In Calicut the crowds are immense. Amma will embrace fifteen or twenty thousand people in a twenty-four hour period! You will see people seated on the stage as close to Mother as possible - some simply sitting, gazing, reflecting, praying, some serving Her, tour group members and locals alike handing Her the prasad that She will then hand to each devotee She hugs. You will see, away from the stage but somehow not really away from Amma, the people whose tireless labour - seva - supports the whole program. People who chop vegetables, who wash huge pots, who clean the premises and so much more!
